There
are some ongoing rumors circulating around the industry about the
launching a new Social Media Networking Site – Google Circles –
by Google. It has been reported that Google Circles intends to help
its users to share photos, videos, status message and a lot more
within their social circle.
According
to some rumors, if this social network works well, it is going to be
a Facebook killer. It is still unclear whether this site concentrates
on music, movies, or games.
Reported
that Google Circles is expected to be launched at the SXSW, an Annual
Music, Film and Interactive Conference and Festival held in Austin
during this March. On the other hand, a Google representative denied
the rumors saying that “no such service is launching at SXSW”.
Clayton
Morris said on a recent Fox News that, “Even if Circles is not a
real thing and just a labs project, Google’s eventual re-entry into
the social circle is inevitable.” He also said that “Google wants
to be more social and I have some theories about why they have never
really succeeded.”
It
is still in dilemma, if Google launches this site, this time it will
reach up to the expectations or not. In fact, Google's first two
attempts – Orkut and Google Buzz – either short-lived or made a
minimal impact. However, let us wait and see how Google Circle (if it
is really coming up) is going to perform against Facebook.
